Guacamole is one of the most amazing things you can make with avocados. Avocados are one of the most powerful super foods so as long as you do not eat too much enjoy it. Guacamole compliments many dishes or can take your burger from boring to amazing. Many people all have preferences for guacamole. Some like it spicy. There are people who prefer a mild or no spice. Cheese is even something you may find in a guacamole recipe.
Today I am sharing with you a guacamole recipe that my husband and I created together. He worked for some Mexican Food chains and picked up on what made the best guacamole. Our kids would not eat it. So we worked together and created a version that is creamy and flavorful but still kid friendly. Or perfect for parties where you are unsure of how spicy is too spicy.
There are additions that may spice up or customize your guacamole. I love making guacamole because you can always experiment. Add a little extra spice when you want it. Try new ingredients. This recipe omits anything that may make it too spicy. If you want to spice up, you can add Paprika or Worcestershire Sauce without making it too hot. I hope you will love our easy guacamole recipe.
We use either white or red onions. Whatever we have on hand. We buy our onions at Costco so we usually have white onions. Since red onions have a milder flavor, white onions add a little more kick to the guacamole. We also add lime juice for two reasons flavor and to prevent browning. You may substitute for lemon juice or omit.
Additions to add spice, taste, or texture:
Serrano Peppers (keep the seeds for an extra kick)
Green Tabasco sauce
The recipe follows below. If you like this recipe please share on Facebook or Pinterest. I would also love to hear what you love adding to your Guacamole.
