I’ve been doing a lot more of my shopping at Hot Topic lately for a few reasons. One being that they just have more items that fit my personal style. Their plus sizing is more consistent than some other retailers. I can consistently buy something and know that it’s going to fit me, unlike going somewhere else and finding that I have to return an exchange multiple times to find the right fit.

I’ve always enjoyed shopping at Hot topic, being someone that’s considered an alternative they just have items that appeal to me more. I think what I’m really like about this year‘s line of Halloween clothing and costumes as they are on brand 100%! If you buy something, you’re going to know what it is. It’s not like a cheap costume you get at the Halloween store. The comfort can’t be beat. This dress was so comfortable and it had pockets which I know some people don’t mind not having pockets but I do. Sometimes you need some place to stash your phone!

Overall, this dress was perfect. I think it’s perfect for this time of year because it has long sleeves and is a little warmer than a summer dress. During the winter, you can pair it with an overcoat and it will look very amazing then too.

I paired this with black Minnie Mouse that had a little bat on them and it just looked perfect! I can wear this as a Halloween costume and then I can continue to wear this just as a regular dress after Halloween.

Hot Topic gifted me this item for the Halloween campaign. So I didn’t feel right posting any pictures on Instagram that I used a preset on.

I really wanted to post some pictures of this dress with the filter because unfortunately sometimes if the lighting isn’t perfect the colors don’t come out great in the pictures. Filters make the picture look like it would in real life without bad lighting. Of course, one of the filers I used was just for fun. There are no filters on my face.

This was a cool dress, and I found a lot of great photo locations in Disney California Adventure Park to take a picture with the dress. Unfortunately, it was an overcast day, so the pictures didn’t come out as well as I wanted to, so I had to do a little tweaking and Light Room. And for some reason even though my foundation matches my skin exactly, my face seems orange. I assure you I am not an Oompa Loompa.

So if you’re looking for a costume, I recommend going to Hot Topic. Of course, I would recommend that you shop in person or do you an order to pick up just to make sure you get it in time for Halloween.

This dress is everything, and I will continue wearing it throughout the year. It is my favorite dress as of right now. Let me know what you’re going to be for Halloween this year in the comments!
