Lalaloopsy Is Back

Many of you know my daughter A loves dolls! If you follow us on Instagram, you will notice she always has a doll with her wherever she goes. Dolls are her favorite thing on Earth.

I’ve taken advantage of the fact that many streaming platforms like Netflix allow you to create a profile for your child which I took full advantage of. This allows her to watch a television program while I take a shower, and I don’t have to worry about what she’s watching.

My daughter stumbled upon Lalaloopsy on Netflix about a year ago and was drawn into the show because they were dolls. Lalaloopsy’s premise is that Lalaloopsy are rag dolls magically came to life when their last stitch was sewn. We’re Lalaloopsy is whimsical, wholesome, and each doll has a unique personality. Lalaloopsy dolls help inspire my daughter and spark her imagination. I want my daughter to be inspired and to learn to use her imagination!

What we loved most about Lalaloopsy was following the story of Storm E. Sky, a doll that’s new to LalaLoopsy Land. Storm E. Sky was very talented, she sang often. My daughter loved the music! Each episode also taught the kids a lesson or a virtue. To me, the message that was being sent was beautiful. Friendship and trust are virtues that are sometimes hard to explain to kids and following Storm’s journey we learned about friendship and trust. I felt Storm’s emotions and journey overall were relatable and helped my daughter really learn the value and importance of trust and friendship. It was a wonderful journey to follow! 

Unfortunately, the show ended in 2018. Thankfully, #bringbacklalaloopsy a hashtag created by fans who are very active on social media helped Lalaloopsy return to stores and YouTube! And remember the fact that YouTube is free to use. Right now, you can watch Lalaloopsy Girls sing-a-long video and We’re Lalaloopsy (3 minute versions of the Netflix episodes) animated shorts on YouTube. New episodes are every Friday at 1 o’clock, you can also watch the series We’re LalaLoopsy on Netflix. And there’s going to be a new movie streaming Lalaloopsy: Band Together on Amazon Prime and Kidoodle.tv! But the best part is on July 24 the new original show LalaLoopsy Let’s Create comes back to YouTube where it’s going to be free to stream!

Personally for me what I love is that LalaLoopsy is wholesome and whimsical. Much is to be learned from the characters. They also inspire my daughter and help spark her imagination. We loved following each character’s unique journey and learning and growing along with them.

The biggest reason I adore Lalaloopsy is they are environmentally conscious. As a parent who worries about the environment, I want to teach my daughter to not waste and recycle, I love the fact the packaging is almost zero waste.

The new Lalaloopsy dolls that are available at Walmart, Amazon, Target and other retailers in August come in a box that’s a reusable house. The packaging itself is reusable and is a home for your doll. There are 25 dolls in total you can connect them to create a fence and make your own LalaLoopsy Land! Which is really fun if you’re into collecting dolls like we are! 

Some moms are unaware of LalaLoopsy because Lalaloopsy has had no new episodes since 2018. And you’re wondering what all the hype is about? The hype is there for a reason. This is one of my favorite shows as a mom because it’s so wholesome, imaginative, sweet, and fun. The music is fantastic, and each song is wonderful, it has a great message behind it. And what I really love is just watching the storyline between all the dolls and how they become friends and create an everlasting bond that was exceptional to watch.

A and I are so excited, and we cannot wait to continue watching LalaLoopsy on YouTube and playing with the new dolls that are being released in August! As a mom who is very conscientious about what I let my child watch and what I recommend to other parents, I’ve got to say this is one of the best shows out there. It’s family friendly and as a mother who rarely likes to watch cartoons, I very much enjoyed watching Lalaloopsy.
