5 Things You Must Do With Your Kids At Disneyland This X-Mas
/Disneyland is magic. More so during the holidays. The decorations, food, and entertainment give you the Christmas feels. There is much to experience during the holidays at Disney. When visiting Disneyland with kids at Christmas there are five things you must do. One experience is not well known. It is my all-time favorite thing about Christmas at Disneyland. These are the five things you must do with your kids at Disneyland during Christmas.
1. You must arrive at Radiator Springs at dusk and watch the town light up. I love Cars Land. Even when not decorated for the holidays Car Land is stunning. All the neon lights.
Once Disney adds the Christmas overlay Cars Land is magical. You want to be in Radiator Springs when the lights turn on. Watching Cars Land come to life at night is Christmas Magic.
This year Flo’s will have peppermint pie. I recommend watching lights come on and then taking your kids to try the pie.
2. It’s a Small World Holiday. I cannot stand the ride. I know many parents are so sick of that song. However, during Christmas the outside is extraordinary. At night, the lights are beautiful. Even the ride is fun because of the Christmas overlay.
At night Disneyland does a light show. Disney never promotes the light show but at night, there is a light projection onto It’s a Small World, which includes music.
I have yet to recall ever see the show time published on maps. If you ask a cast member, they will tell you what time the show happens.

3. The Christmas Fantasy parade. Everyone loves this parade a Christmas Fantasy gives you all the Christmas feels. A Christmas Fantasy is festive, sweet, and family-friendly. You can’t miss the parade.
I’d recommend if you’re planning your trip to make a reservation for the parade viewing. You get a picnic style lunch from Plaza Inn which you can read my review here. You get a voucher to watch the parade from a special viewing spot.
Otherwise I recommend that you get to Main Street or Fantasyland an hour beforehand.
4. Santa Claus at Redwood Creek Trail. There’s also an option to visit Santa Claus in Critter Country at Disneyland. But I like the Redwood Creek Trail feel a little more. The lines can get long.
I recommend you go in the morning. Disneyland always has the best Santa Claus experiences. The pictures always come out better than mall Santa photos.
5. Festival of Holidays at California Adventure Park. Mainly the Disney Viva Navidad street party. My children look forward to this yearly.
The dancers are amazing. It is my favorite thing to do at California adventure during this time of year. The mariachi and samba music will make you smile. Your children will want to dance. The finale features giant mojiganga puppets of Santa and Mrs. Claus!
You cannot go wrong with a Christmas Time visit to Disneyland. Disneyland has so much to experience. These five experiences though will create memories that your children will remember forever. Make sure try them all.
