Where Is The Best Spaghetti At Disneyland?
When traveling spaghetti is always a good choice for lunch or dinner. It is filling, and almost everyone likes it. There are three restaurants at Disneyland located in the parks that serve traditional Spaghetti. Verbatim the menu descriptions are.
Redd Rockett's Pizza Port in Disneyland Proper offers Mars-inara with Meatballs Spaghetti and Meatballs with Celestial Tomato Sauce and freshly grated Parmesan Cheese for $9.99. Or Mars-inara Spaghetti with Celestial Tomato Sauce and freshly grated Parmesan Cheese for $9.49.
Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta offers Spaghetti with Meatballs with Pomodoro Sauce $ for $9.99.
Wine Country Trattoria serves Spaghetti Bolognese
A rich Ragù of Beef, Italian Sausage, Tomatoes, and Seasonings
for $19.00. Or Spaghetti Bolognese with Meatballs
a rich Ragù of Beef, Italian Sausage, Tomatoes, Seasonings, and Meatballs for $24.00.
Since Wine Country Trattoria cooks to order you, can ask for red sauce or marina. You can also ask for meat sauce. It may not be on the menu, but they will personalize your pasta.
Pizza Port and Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta, on the other hand, are quick service. There is little personalization involved.
When it comes to kids spaghetti, the quick service locations serve turkey meatballs and whole wheat pasta. It is $6.49 at Pizza Port and $6.99 at Boardwalk Pizza and pasta. Wine Country Trattoria offers a little more customization for the kids. They offer Kids' Mickey Check Meal - Choose Your Pasta and How it's Prepared!
Spaghetti or Little Bell Pasta with your choice of Marinara Sauce, Turkey Meatballs with Marinara, or our Tasty Vegetables for $9.00.
The question is which location serves the best pasta.
The bottom line is if you're looking to save money Pizza Port is the answer. Even adults can order the kids meals and since they come with a drink like water or juice, and two sides such as carrots, applesauce or bananas this may be a better option for those who prefer to eat healthier foods. The meatball is turkey, and the pasta is whole wheat. You could also pocket the banana or carrots for a later snack.
The only but is Pizza Port out of all three has the weakest sauce. It is in my opinion bland. It is not bad, but it is not good. I do put a lot of grated parmesan on it. Even my foodie friends agree. It's not bad, but there is better sauce at Disney.
Both Wine Country Trattoria and Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta are located in the California Adventure and offer live entertainment. However, since Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta is a quick service you have to sit outside and find a spot closer to the stage. When you’re at Wine Country Trattoria will have to be seated near the entertainment. Always check with Disney dining a few days before the trip so you can plan to watch the live musical performances. I have seen Silo Rags, and the Mariachi Divas perform the most.
Wine Country Trattoria spaghetti comes in second place. The sauce is not bad at all. However, in my opinion, it’s a little oily/runny, and a little more overpriced. The seating is mostly outdoors as well so it doesn’t offer on advantage over the quick service locations other than someone will be bringing your food.
I will you post a more detailed review of Wine Country Trattoria at a later date.
Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta is the winner when it comes to Spaghetti. I feel like you get the most food from this restaurant. The portions are generous. The meatballs are pretty big, and the pasta and sauce are fresh even though it’s quick service. I crave the pasta. It's pretty darn good.
Pomodoro Sauce is more robust and has more flavor, but it’s not overpowering. It’s the perfect medium for anyone that has a preference for pasta because it’s just right. It's not spicy or chunky and will satisfy the pickiest Eater.
Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta serves your food on a real plate with a real fork. Which for someone on vacation which has been relying on quick service dining locations for most meals might be a welcome change.
Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta is the winner when it comes to taste, quality, portions, and price.
