Garden Grill Character Dining Lunch and Dinner Review

Garden Grill Restaurant is a character dining restaurant in Future World, Epcot. The theme is Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Harvest Feast. This character dining experience is a revolving restaurant. Which has wonderful views of Living with the Land. They serve you a family style buffet while characters stop by and visit your table. There were four characters in total. Chip and Dale. Mickey Mouse who dresses like a farmer in overalls. And finally Pluto who wears a plaid collar.

I never had trouble making reservations. Though you should make them as soon as possible. My family and I could get reservations an hour before we ate. I also suggest if possible you make your reservations for 11:30 am when the restaurant opens for lunch. In my experience the restaurant was empty. The food was fresh. The server had barely anyone in his section so we had prompt service. We could also see each character twice. The food is also all you can eat.

Of, all the character dining we tried on most recent trip Garden Grill was our best experience. We had the best interactions with characters. The food was fresh and delicious, and the service was wonderful. This lunch also ensured we used our table dining credits from the Disney Dining Plan wisely. Children are $35 and adults are $59.99.

The lunch menu and dinner menu are the same. The food you will receive is:

Harvest-inspired Garden Salad with a vinaigrette dressing. The dressing is good. This is a nice light salad to start with. It was the best salad they offered us from any table service restaurant.

Grilled Beef with Chimichurri. Chimichurri is a sauce. Made from chopped parsley, minced garlic, olive oil, oregano and red wine vinegar. My husband loved the Grilled Beef with Chimichurri. I thought the beef was tender and delicious.

All natural sliced Turkey Breast with turkey gravy. This was very good. Not to throw anyone under the bus but we had better Turkey and Gravy at Disney World. I know many people travel here during the holidays and want turkey and gravy. We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside. The Riverside Mill Food Court has amazing Turkey and Gravy at the Chefs Carving Table. My husband and son had ordered it and I had a few bites. It was the best Turkey with gravy I have ever had. The Garden Grills Turkey is not as tender or moist but it is good. When we dine here again I will ask for extra gravy.

Herb and leek stuffing is a great compliment to the turkey. It was not the best stuffing I had ever had, but it was flavorful. The stuffing had more texture than typical restaurant stuffing. This was the first stuffing I tried with leeks and while it was not my favorite, I will eat it again.

Seasonal vegetables were green beans and corn. The green beans were good but I prefer mine with a little garlic. The green beans had the perfect crunch and were not soggy. The corn was good as well.

Creamy mashed potatoes. These were good. But they needed some salt and there is no salt at the table nor is there extra gravy.

French fries with ketchup. These were good fries I ended up eating a good amount. I liked them.

Macaroni and Cheese. The sauce was thick and creamy. It was good mac and cheese like homemade. It did not taste the instant mac and cheese so if you have a picky eater like we have be aware. I know some kids like the Kraft style. Mine ate a little. But disliked the presentation which was goldfish crackers on the top. I had to promise her that no crackers touched her portion of mac and cheese.

Berry Short cake with whipped cream is the dessert. It was very good. The berries were fresh, and the cream was homemade. The dessert alone makes Garden Grill worth a visit.

We also received three cookies. Which are not on the menu? I wonder if our server sensed we had a picky eater and brought those out for our youngest. She enjoyed them because they had Mickey sprinkles.

One thing I must mention because the restaurant rotates over Living with the Land it can get dark. If you can stall the characters until you get a brightly colored wall the pictures will turn out so much better. This is one of those times I wish there was a photo pass photographer on hand. Even with a photo editor or the flash on its hard to get a good picture in bad lighting sometimes.

We ate at a few signature and character dining restaurants at Disney World on this trip. Garden Grill was the best quality character dining restaurant. I feel that snagging a reservation as they opened for lunch improved our experience. I will return to Garden Grill! The food was delicious. Our server was fantastic. The character interactions were so much fun. Pluto played peek-a-boo with us every time he came around. Chip and Dale were fun and playful. I cannot recommend Garden Grill for lunch or dinner enough! It was the best table service we had on the trip.
