Splurge Worthy Beauty Products
I love makeup I could lose an hour easy in Sephora or Ulta. The problem is many beauty items are so expensive. It's tough to justify buying something expensive. A five dollar lipstick at the drugstore for most of us will not break the bank. A lipstick from Sephora however may cost more than we spend on gas in a week.
So that leads us to ask what is worth spending money on? That is why I love reading product reviews. Because my skin type is combination and sensitive skin most products I use are good for most skin types.
I am sharing with you the items I feel are worth spending the money on if you want to. These are my favorite splurge-worthy beauty products. I hope you find this helpful.
The first splurge item is a luxury item by SOL de Janeiro the Brazilian Bum Bum Cream. It smells so good and makes my skin soft and smooth. Bum Bum Cream is my favorite beauty product right now. I swear this has helped reduce my stretch marks too.
We all prefer certain eyeshadows shades so any Lorac eyeshadow palette is amazing. I own 3. The Mega Pro matte which is mini. The mini has perfect crease, base, and transition shades. It also has the best white for the brow bone highlight. The mega pro 3 quality is phenomenal. Because matte shades are more pigmented a little kickback is normal. I am posting a Wayne Goss video because he can explain better than I can. While Lorac shadows are powdery that doesn't mean they are bad that means the pigment is on point. Lorac shadows blend well and wear all day. What's not to love?
Stila Stay All Day waterproof liquid eyeliner is fantastic. I swatched Stay All Day, and the eyeliner dried so quick, and when I rubbed the eyeliner would not come off. I tried removing the liner with a baby wipe and it came right off. Stila Stay All Day lasts all day. It comes off without tugging on your eyelids.
I love this product, but at $93 I think the price is crazy. I love Fresh. Fresh makes some of the best skin care products. Fresh instant perfecting black tea mask is the best face mask I used. I have rosacea, blackheads, and skin texture issues. When I pair this with a mask like Origins rose clay re-texturizing mask, my skin looks so much better.
Tarte Tape Shape is amazing. Make Up Forever full cover creme de camouflage extreme are the best concealers. I can't pick a winner between the two I had Tape Shape longer, and the Tape Shape is almost gone. Tape Shape creases, but creasing happens. Creasing is not uncommon; we all have lines under our eyes. I find mixing in a little primer helps. Make Up Forever's product has better coverage and bendability. I also noticed Tape Shape dries fast which can make blending a race against time.
Several magazines raved about Laneige Water Bank Essence Ex. Sephora did not carry the Ex version, so I found it on Amazon for under $30. If you have skin texture issues like me, or dry skin, this one is for you. I noticed my skin texture issues are improving and my makeup is looking much better.
Cinema Secrets instant makeup brush cleaner is expensive and one of my favorite splurges. You dip or you spray your brush and then wipe the brush with a clean, dry towel. The makeup disappears and the brush dries fast so if you need to clean your brush and then use the brush again that’s not an issue.
Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme peel is amazing. The peel is an alpha hydroxy acid exfoliation treatment. The enzymes are suitable for any skin type. The Pumpkin Enzyme Peel treats congested complexions, so if you suffer from pore issues or texture issues the peel will help a lot. The peel is also anti-aging. I like to use it once a week.
Next is Mark Jacobs Velvet Noir mascara. To be honest, I love O!Mega Lash more, and if you want to splurge on a full-size mascara than go for that. To my knowledge they do not sell O!Mega Lash as trial size at Sephora as they do with the Velvet Noir which means you will pay more. Velvet Noir is a great mascara and importantly doesn’t flake. Marc Jacobs Mascaras don't smear, holds a curl, and lasts all day.
Verb is a brand of hair care products. I used the hydrating shampoo and conditioner, and I love how gentle Verb is on my colored hair. I reordered more Verb shampoo and conditioner from the Ghost line and I love them. My hair is so much softer.
Last the Sephora Collection Avocado Eye mask at $5, which seems like a good deal, but is for one treatment. The mask is so nourishing we forget how delicate the under eye area is and helps keep the under eye area moisturized. The Sephora eye mask is worth every penny.
